NOTICE OF HEARING CITY OF PALMETTO HEARINGS MAY BE CONTINUED FROM TIME TO TIME The City of Palmetto City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Palmetto City Hall Chambers, 516 8th Ave W, Palmetto, FL, to consider the adoption of the following Ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. 2025-13 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALMETTO, FLORIDA, REGARDING ESTABLISHING A LOCAL CURFEW FOR JUVENILES; INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE SECTIONS 877.20-877.25, FLORIDA STATUTES; AMENDING CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 1, DIVISION 1 OF THE CITY OF PALMETTO CODE OF ORDINANCES TO CREATE CHAPTER 20 TO CREATE SECTIONS 20-5 AND 20-6; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The Public Hearing may be continued until final action is taken. All interested persons are invited to appear and be heard. Written comments filed at City Hall will be heard and considered. If any person desires to appeal any decision of the City Commission or any other Board of the City, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). The City of Palmetto does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, marital status or handicapped status in employment or in the provision of services. Handicapped individuals may receive special accommodation in services on 48 hours' notice (Fla. Stat. 286.26).
