CITY OF HOLMES BEACH PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held, and the following proposed Ordinances will be considered for adoption at the Regular Meeting of the Holmes Beach City Commission to be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Holmes Beach City Hall, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, Florida at 2:00 p.m. P.M., or as soon thereafter as may be heard. The public is welcome to attend. All persons wishing to speak must appear in person. Public access for viewing will also be available at: https://www.holmesbeachfl.org/government/escribe.php. Ordinance 26-01 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HOLMES BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 14 BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS, SECTION 14-28, OF THE CITY'S CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REVISE THE AMENDMENT TO SECTION 202 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, EXISITNG BUILDING REGARDING THE DEFINITION OF "SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE" TO REMOVE REFERENCES TO AN ACCUMULATION OF COSTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE." and Ordinance 26-02 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HOLMES BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, SPECIFICALLY ARTICLE IV, NONCONFORMITIES, DIVISION 1 GENERALLY, SECTION 4.8 DISCONTINUATION OF A NONCONFORMING USES, BY AMENDING THE TIMEFRAME FOR DISCONTINUATION OF A NONCONFORMING USE; AMENDING SECTION 4.15 REPAIR OR RECONSTRUCTION OF A NONCONFORMING STRUCTURE, AMENDING THE TIMEFRAME AND PROCEDURE FOR NONCONFORMING STRUCTURES NEEDING RECONSTRUCTION OR REPAIR AFTER AN IDENTIFIABLE EVENT AND TO GOVERN THE REDEVELOPMENT AND RESILIENCY MEASURES FOR EXISTING NONCONFORMITIES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." No stenographic record by a certified court reporter will be made of this meeting. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decisions involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at this meeting upon which any appeal is to be based. All interested parties may appear and be heard. Copies of the proposed Ordinances are available at the Office of the City Clerk.
