NOTICE OF FORFEITURE
PROCEEDINGS
TO: ALL PERSONS OR ENTITIES CLAIMING AN INTEREST IN THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED PROPERTY:
The Polk County Sheriffs Office seized the above-described property, in Polk County, Florida, pursuant to the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act, Sections 932.70I-932.7062, Florida Statutes.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office intends to institute forfeiture proceedings in the Circuit Court of the Tenth Judicial Circuit, in and for Polk County, Florida, to obtain a Final Order of Forfeiture as to said property.
Any claimant desiring to contest the forfeiture of the above-described property must, within 20 days after the last date of publication of this notice, file and serve a claim as provided by law.
Such claim must:
1. Describe the claimant's interest in
the property;
2. Be signed under oath and
subject to penalty of perjury;
3. Be filed with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court, Polk County
Courthouse, Bartow, Florida
33830; and
4. A copy must be served upon the
attorney for the seizing agency,
whose name and address appear
below.
Failure to timely file and serve a claim will result in a default and the entry of a Final Order of Forfeiture in favor of the seizing agency without further notice.
