NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY OF BARTOW CITY COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Bartow will hold a public hearing at a Regular City Commission meeting on February 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers located at City Hall, 450 N. Wilson Ave., Bartow, Florida to consider the following ordinances: Ordinance No. 2026-02 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING AN UNOPENED PLATTED RIGHT OF WAY (ALDERMAN AVENUE) EXTENDING BETWEEN FROM PEARL STREET TO VINE STREET, AND LYING BETWEEN LOTS 1 THRU 6, BLOCK 5 AND LOTS 7 THRU 12, BLOCK 4, ALL OF WHICH ARE PART OF OAKDALE SUBDIVISION, PB 8, PG 38, PUBLIC RECORDS OF POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA. Copies of the proposed ordinances are available for review in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall complex located at 450 N. Wilson Avenue, Bartow, Florida, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Interested parties may examine it there or appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the application. Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time, and place of any continuation of these or continued public hearings may be announced during the hearing and that no further notices regarding this matter will be published. Please be advised that if you desire to appeal any decisions made as a result of the above hearing or meeting, you will need a record of the proceedings and in some cases, a verbatim record is required. You must make your own arrangements to produce this record. (F.S. 286.0105) The Commission may continue the public hearing(s) to other dates and times as it deems necessary. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and F.S. 286.26, persons with disabilities or physical impairments who need special accommodations to participate in this proceeding should contact the City Clerks Office 48 hours in advance of the meeting at 863-534-0100.
