NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT AMENDED RULES AND OF PUBLIC HEARING
The School Board of Escambia County, Florida, gives notice of its intent to adopt amended rules and that it will hold a public hearing as follows:
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, April 21, 2026; 5:30 pm
PLACE: Room 160, J.E. Hall Center, 30 East Texar Drive, Pensacola, Florida 32503
SUBJECT: 7510 - USE OF DISTRICT FACILITIES
PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To refine the requirements for public use of School Board property.
SPECIFIC LEGAL AUTHORITY: 1001.42; 1001.43; 1013.10, Fla. Stat.
LAW IMPLEMENTED: 1013.10, Fla. Stat.

The School Board does not anticipate the adoption of these rules will (1) have an adverse impact on small business; or (2) directly or indirectly increase regulatory costs in excess of $200,000 in the aggregate in the state within 1 year after the implementation of the rule. Any person who wishes to provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing to the Superintendent within 21 days after publication of this notice. Any material pertinent to the issues under consideration submitted in writing to the Superintendent within 21 days after publication of this notice or submitted at the public hearing shall be considered by the Board and made a part of the rulemaking record.

Any person who decides to appeal a decision with respect to a matter considered at the hearing is hereby advised that, for such purpose, such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the meeting is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
