The Charlotte County-Punta Gorda Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is accepting applications for the following volunteer positions: Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) - one South County Representative. The CAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects for MPO Board consideration. Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) - one West County Representative (applicant must reside west of the Myakka River). The BPAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects for MPO Board consideration. Charlotte County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (LCB) is seeking one volunteer representing the Economically Disadvantaged (rule: A person who is recognized by the Florida Association for Community Action (President), representing the economically disadvantaged in the county.); and one experienced representative of the local private for-profit transportation industry. The LCB identifies local service needs and to provide guidance to the Community Transportation Coordinator on services for the transportation disadvantaged.
