ad# 12041840 02/02/26 REQUEST FOR BID RFB20260130-01 SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT At MELBOURNE ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MELBOURNE, FLORIDA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals from qualified Contractors for the SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT PROJECT will be received by the CITY OF MELBOURNE AIRPORT AUTHORITY at the office of the Executive Director, Melbourne Orlando International Airport, One Air Terminal Parkway, Suite 220, Melbourne, Florida 32901 until Tuesday, March 10, at 2:00 PM EDT at which time proposals will be publicly opened, read aloud, and submitted for evaluation. Late proposals will not be accepted. Bid packages will be available on Monday, February 2, 2026 in .pdf and may be obtained from Sandra Acevedo, Executive Assistant, who may be contacted at 321-723-6227 ext. 123, or by e-mail at sacevedo@mlbair.com. Paper copies will not be available. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in the Melbourne Airport Authority Board Room, One Air Terminal Parkway, Suite 220, Melbourne, Florida 32901 on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM EST, at which time a site visit will follow. Bidders must have visited the site prior to bidding or will be disqualified from bidding. Prospective bidders unable to attend the Pre-Bid Conference may arrange to visit the site between February 12, 2026, and March 3, 2026, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays only. The site is in a secure area of the Airport and requires an escort. Please contact Sandra Acevedo at 321-723-6227, ext. 123, or sacevedo@mlbair.com and provide 24 to 48 hours advance notice of when you plan to visit. During the bid period, only written questions received by 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 will be accepted. Written responses will be distributed to all Bidders via an addendum. E-mail questions using the included form to Sandra Acevedo at sacevedo@mlbair.com. The Bidder agrees to comply with the following requirement: No member, officer, or employee of the Melbourne Airport Authority or the City of Melbourne, during his or her tenure or for one year thereafter shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or the proceeds thereof. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the Total Amount Bid must be submitted with the bid. A Public Construction Bond in a sum equal to 100% of the amount of the Contract awarded, will be required prior to execution of contract. This project is federally funded, and Davis-Bacon rates apply. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, for a period of sixty (60) calendar days. To be eligible for award of contract, the successful bidder must submit, upon request and within five (5) business days after the bid opening, evidence of financial responsibility, experience, qualifications, and satisfactory completion of previous similar projects, to the satisfaction of the Melbourne Airport Authority. The Owner reserves the right to reject all proposals with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, and to accept the proposal that best serves the Owner.
