The School Board of Hillsborough County
School Attendance Boundaries
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting on April 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, will conduct a second public hearing to consider proposed changes to elementary and middle school attendance boundaries including the establishment of a new attendance boundary for Middle School V V in Wimauma and Young Middle Magnet School in Tampa. The proposed student reassignments are needed to improve operational efficiency within the district. The public hearing will take place in the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center Board Auditorium, located at 901 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida. At this meeting the School Board will consider Superintendent’s recommendation adopt revisions to elementary and middle school attendance boundaries and to establish an attendance boundary for Middle School V V, and Young Middle Magnet School with implementation effective beginning with the 2027-2028 school year.
If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or hearing to be held April 7, 2026, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
Pursuant to the Board’s Bylaws, if an individual believes he or she is affected by these proposed policies, that individual may present argument or evidence on all issues relating to the proposed rule at the hearing to be held pursuant to this notice. Any person wishing to present argument or evidence must, within seven (7) days of the date of this notice, submit a written request to:
