Ad#12223873 04/09/2026 THE TOWN OF PALM SHORES PROPOSES TO ADOPT THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE The Town of Palm Shores has scheduled a public hearing for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Palm Shores Town Hall, 5030 Paul Hurtt Lane, in Palm Shores to hear the second and final reading of the following ordinance: TOWN OF PALM SHORES, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NO. 2026-01 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF PALM SHORES, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO LAND DEVELOPMENT; MAKING FINDINGS; AMENDING CHAPTER 157, ZONING, OF TITLE XV, LAND USAGE; AMENDING THE SUPPLEMENTARY DISTRICT REGULATIONS; ADDING A NEW SECTION 157.511 RELATING TO REASONABLE ACCOMODATIONS GENERALLY AND REASONABLE ACCOMODATIONS FOR CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCES; PROVIDING FOR A BUSINESS IMPACT ESTIMATE, REPEAL AND CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Public hearings will be held as follows: Town Council will hold public hearings for the second and final reading and adoption of the proposed Ordinance on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 7:00 pm. Meetings may be continued from time to time. Two or more Council members may be present at the Planning Board meeting. All meetings will be held at the Town Hall, 5030 Paul Hurtt Lane, Palm Shores. All citizens are invited and encouraged to attend these hearings and make comments. The Town Clerk must receive written comments at least 3 days prior to the Council meeting. Copies of information are available for public inspection at the office of the Town Clerk or by calling for an appointment at (321) 242-4555. If accommodation is needed for those with special needs, please advise the Town Clerk at least one day in advance of the meeting. PURSUANT TO SECTION 286.0105, FLORIDA STATUTES, THE TOWN OF PALM SHORES ADVISES THE PUBLIC THAT: if an individual decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice does not constitute consent by the Town for the introduction or admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, not does it authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT AND SECTION 286.26, FLORIDA STATUTES, persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to participate in this meeting should call the Town Clerk at (321) 242-4555 at least one day prior to the hearing.
