St. Lucie County offers housing repair assistance for low-income homeowners.

ATTENTION ST. LUCIE COUNTY HOMEOWNERS
HOUSING REPAIR ASSISTANCE
St. Lucie County is seeking applicants to participate in the Housing Rehabilitation Program funded with the FY 25/26 State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Program. The SHIP FY 25/26 allocation is $567,270.00. These programs are designed to perform general code related repairs and improvements for low-income homeowners.
Eligible Repairs May Include:
 Roof repairs and replacements,
 HVAC (heating and cooling) systems
 Septic system repairs or replacement
Please note:
 Funding is limited and subject to availability
 Homes requiring substantial or reconstruction-level repairs may not qualify
 This program does not provide emergency repair assistance
 Submission of an application does not guarantee funding
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
To apply, all of the following must be met:
 Property must be located in unincorporated St. Lucie County
 Property must have a current homestead exemption
 Mortgage and property taxes must be current
 The total household income must not exceed the limits below:

Applications will be available beginning May 18, 2026 on the St. Lucie County website at www.slchousing.org
Deadline:
Applications must be submitted by May 22, 2026, or until 20 completed applications have been received, whichever occurs first.
