PALATKA CITY COMMISSION NOTICE The City of Palatka will be holding public hearing on first reading on February 12, 2026, and second reading February 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. for Ordinances listed but not limited to: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALATKA, FLORIDA, REVISING CHAPTER 2, DIVISION 4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PALATKA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED GENERAL EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT; AMENDING SECTION 2-173 FORMS OF PAYMENT OF PENSION; CREATING LUMP SUM BENEFIT OPTIONS; REVISING CHAPTER 2, DIVISION 6 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PALATKA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED FIREFIGHTERS RETIREMENT PLAN; AMENDING SECTION 2-243 FORMS OF PAYMENT OF A PENSION; CREATING LUMP SUM BENEFIT OPTIONS; REVISING CHAPTER 2, SECTION 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PALATKA, FLORIDA, ENTITLED POLICE OFFICERS RETIREMENT PLAN; AMENDING SECTION 2-250.200 FORMS OF PAYMENT OF A PENSION; CREATING LUMP SUM BENEFIT OPTIONS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
