Town of Loxahatchee Groves, Florida Notice of General and Referendum Election March 10, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Loxahatchee Groves will hold its General and Referendum Election on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Palms West Presbyterian Church (polling location) located at 13689 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee Groves, Florida, 33470. The purpose is to elect TOWN COUNCIL SEAT # 1 for a one-year term ending March 2027 and TOWN COUNCIL SEAT # 5 for a three-year term ending March 2029 and two (2) referendum questions. An individual must be a qualified elector of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves, State of Florida for a period of not less than one (1) year immediately preceding the beginning of the qualifying period. Town Council members are elected at large on a nonpartisan basis. QUESTION 1 The present Charter provides for charter officers to be removed from office only by a super majority vote of the full Town Council. The Town Council has proposed that charter officers be able to be removed from office by a majority vote of the full Town Council. Shall the above described amendment be adopted? Yes ____ No ____ QUESTION 2 The present Charter requires the Town Attorney to review all contracts, bonds and other instruments and that no contract with the town shall take effect until the attorney has endorsed the document. This provision can be costly and burdensome. The Town Council has proposed the attorneys required review of contracts be defined and potentially limited by ordinance or resolution approved by town council. Shall the above described amendment be adopted? Yes ____ No ____ To be eligible to vote on March 10, 2026, you must be a registered voter in Loxahatchee Groves and in Precinct 4401. All Loxahatchee Groves registered voters should ensure that their correct address is on file with the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office. In accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 101.6103, ballots cannot be forwarded by the United States Postal Service. The Referendum Election will be conducted in accordance with the applicable provisions of Florida Statutes and the Charter and Code of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves, Florida.
