NOTICE OF ADOPTION In the matter of: Myteenor Gainous, III To: Francesca Karlson Myteenor Gainous, II Any unnamed or unknown parent and persons interested in a petition for the adoption of said child and to the Department of Children and Families of saidCommonwealth. A petition has been presented to the Barnstable Probate and Family Court, 3195 Main Street PO Box 346, Barnstable, Ma 02630, (508)375-6710, under docket number BA25A0136AD, by Victoria Elizabeth Hardy of Hyannis, Ma requesting for leave to adopt said child and that the name of the child be changed to Marcus Gainous Hardy If you object to this adoption you are entitled to the appointment of an attorney if you are an indigent person. An indigent person is defined by SJC Rule 3:10. The definition includes but is not limited to persons receiving TAFDC, EACDC, poverty related veteran's benefits, Medicaid, and SSI. The court will determine if you are indigent. Contact an Assistant Judicial Case Manager or Adoption Clerk of the Court on or before the date listed below to obtain the necessary forms. IF YOU DESIRE TO OBJECT THERETO, YOU OR YOUR ATTORNEY MUST FILE A WRITTEN APPEARANCE IN SAID COURT AT: Barnstable ON OR BEFORE TEN O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING (10:00 AM) ON: 03/10/2026 It is ordered that notice of said proceeding be given by mailing to the Department of Children and Families and by delivering in hand and if in hand service cannot be accomplished, then by mailing by certified mail, return receipt requested, a copy of the foregoing citation to said persons fourteen days at least before said return date, and if service is made by mail, unless it shall appear that all persons interested have received actual notice, by publishing a copy thereof in THE PALM BEACH POST publication to be once in each of three consecutive weeks, the last publication to be seven (7) days at least before said return day.
