NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROGRAM YEAR 2026/2027 CDBG & HOME ACTION PLAN PROPOSED FINAL STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES AND USE OF FUNDS
The City of Cocoa expects to receive $108,792.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement funds and $47,478.24 in HOME Investment Partnership funds for program Year 2026/2027. Funds may be used for eligible activities, such as housing rehabilitation, land acquisition, public services, repayment of Section 108 Loan guarantee, public facilities and improvements, or demolition and clearance. The Cocoa City Council will hold a second and final public hearing on Tuesday June 9, 2026, at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers, located at 65 Stone Street, to make available final comments on the proposed final statement of objectives and projected use of funds for the program 2026-2027 Action Plan.
The purpose of the City's Community Development Block Grant Program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for people of low/moderate income. The HOME program funds support housing and housing related services provided to low/moderate income households.
