INVITATION TO BID FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES ATHENS HOUSING AUTHORITY 300 S. ROCKSPRINGS STREET ATHENS, GEORGIA 30606 The Athens Housing Authority (AHA) is seeking written proposals from licensed General Contractors or Plumbers to provide Tub Valve Replacements, Convert Two-Handle Showers to One-Handle, and Add FRP surrounds in 155 bathrooms. A Pre-bid conference will be held at 300 S. Rocksprings St, Athens, GA 30606 on Monday April 6, 2026 at 10:00am. Sealed bids will be received until 3:00 P.M. Monday April 13, 2026 at 300 S. Rocksprings St, Athens, GA 30606. Bids shall be clearly marked “Proposals for Tub Valve Replacements, Converting Two-Handle Showers to One-Handle, and Adding FRP Surrounds Attn: Rachel Deal” on the outside of the sealed envelope. A bid guarantee of either a Certified Check payable to Athens Housing Authority, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. All work will be pursuant to current applicable HUD, state and local standards. All bidders shall be required to comply with the equal employment and Section 3 requirements of the Federal Government. The Athens Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and/or to waive any informalities. It is the AHA's intent to enter into Contract to Replace Tub Valves, Convert Two-Handle Showers to One-Handle, and Add FRP Surrounds with the successful bidder.
