Sealed bids for Savannah Chatham Manufacturing Center Road Extensions ? Sites K, L, and I will be received at the offices of the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) at 906 Drayton Street Savannah, GA USA 31401 until 12 PM on April 7, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened. The project consists of the following generally described work:
SAVANNAH CHATHAM MANUFACTURING CENTER (SCMC) ROAD EXTENSIONS ? SITES K, L, AND I is a proposed roadway construction project in Chatham County, Georgia. Work includes construction of three new two?lane rural section roadway with rural shoulders. The proposed roadways are approximately 4,250 feet long. A pavement section matching the Four Lakes Parkway design is planned to be used on the proposed roadway extensions. Stormwater design includes using roadside drainage and ditches, as well as out falling to previously constructed retainage ponds. There are several drainage crossings along the proposed roadway. These crossings and drainage design fall in line with the overall drainage master plan for the site. Work for the project also includes approximately 4,000 LF of 16?inch diameter water main, 2,400 LF of 12?inch diameter gravity sewer, and 450 LF of 10?inch diameter gravity sewer within the proposed 100 feet Right?of?Way of the proposed site K, L, and I roads. The utility improvements are planned to tie into existing utilities in the project vicinity.

Cut?off for Bidder questions is 5:00 PM, Monday, March 23, 2026.
The Contractor, or any subcontractor, submitting a bid for utility contracting, as defined in O.C.G.A. Section 43?14?2 to a utility system as defined in said section, shall conform to O.C.G.A. Section 43?14?8.2 et seq. with reference to Utility Contractor's Licenses and shall submit the bid with the license numbers, as issued by the Division of Utility Contractors, affixed on the outside of the bid envelope as provided by O.C.G.A. Section 43?14?8.2(h). Utility contracting means a proposal to perform utility work, the depth which exceeds 5 feet, to a utility system as defined in O.C.G.A. Section 43?14? 2(17). A utility contractor license will be required for this project.
