Request #: 1452 The properties listed below have been condemned as unfit for human habitation in accordance with the Code of the City of Savannah. The Code Official of the City of Savannah hereby orders the structure to be vacated and to remain vacant until all repairs necessary to bring the structure into compliance have been made. In the spirit of community pride and responsible property ownership, we ask that the property owner(s) and/or interested parties correct these violation(s). Any required permits must be obtained from the Development Services Department before beginning the required work. Unsecured properties must be secured in accordance with Appendix A (Boarding Standards) of the International Property Maintenance Code and remain secured until all code violations are corrected. The exterior of the structure must be maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary so as not to pose a threat to the health, safety or welfare of the public. Additionally, all trash and debris must be removed from both the yard and interior of the structure. If you do not correct the unsecure violation(s), the City will contract to have the property cleaned and secured without any further notice. If the City employs a contractor to perform this work, the property owner will be charged for the cost of the work plus an administration fee of up to $300.00. The cost shall be charges against the real property and, if not paid, a lien filed against such real property. If these properties also have been found to have growth of weeds, rank vegetation and/or debris, these violation(s) must be corrected, if not, the City will contract to have the property cut and cleaned. If the City employs a contractor to perform this work, the property owner will be charged for the cost of the work plus a $200.00 administration fee. The cost shall be charges against the real property and, if not paid, a lien filed against such real property. If no action has been taken, the City will take necessary enforcement action without any further notice.
