In accordance with Columbus Charter Section 7-501(2)(c): Pursuant to Section 7-501(2)(c) of the Columbus Charter, the Columbus Police Department hereby publishes a statement of property exchange as follows: The Columbus Police Department swap consists of receiving: Fifteen (15) Heckler & Koch MRA4 rifles with the following specifications per rifle: Model MR556 A4 SBR 11" Part # 81001048 Caliber 5.56 x 45mm Gas operated, short stroke piston Rotating bolt 30 round capacity per magazine 3 magazines per rifle Semi-automatic mode of fire Barrel profile- 6 lands & grooves, right twist, 1 in 7in (178mm) Adjustable 6 position, black, rear stock at a value of $2,344.12 per rifle, for a total value of $35,161.80 in exchange for: Two hundred forty-six (246) confiscated firearms Eighty (80) department owned Remington .870 shotguns There is no cost to the city associated with the firearms swap.
