NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL P. I. No. 0017842 CARROLL AND HARALSON COUNTIES Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project. The date of location and design approval is: February 24, 2026 The proposed project is located in Carroll County in Land District 6 and Haralson County in Land District 7. The proposed project would install traffic signal upgrades along State Route 8 at 7 locations: SR 8 / SR 61 @ S Carroll Rd, SR 8 / SR 61 @ Westview Dr, SR 8 / SR 61 @ Dogwood St, SR 8 / SR 61 @ Community Square Blvd, SR 8 @ Van Wert Rd, SR 8 @ Cashtown Rd, SR 8 @ Gordon St. The project has a total project length of 3.6 miles. This project is located within Land Lots 158, 161, 162, 163, 165, 166, 212, 213, 216, and 217. SR 8 / SR 61 consists of one eastbound lane, one westbound lane, and turn lanes through the project.
