Notice of Opportunity of Public Hearing Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority March 29, 2026 Due to the lack of ridership, the Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority is considering the elimination of the bus Route 2, known as the North Napier/Zebulon Route. Any citizen, community-based organizations, or other affected stakeholders may ask for a public hearing by contacting Brenda Banks at (478) 621-7123. All written comments are to be sent via U.S. mail and should be addressed to: Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority, Attn: Service Change, 2737 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206. Comments may also be sent via e-mail and should be addressed to: info@mta-mac.com. With the elimination of the North Napier/Zebulon Route, the area that this route currently covers will continue to be serviced by Route 11, known as the Log Cabin/North Napier Route. If MTA does not receive community input on this proposed change within 15 days of this notice and the change is approved by the Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority Board of Directors, the elimination of the North Napier/Zebulon Route will become effective at least 30 days after approval. Upon the request for a public hearing, foreign language translation, sign language interpretation, and other accommodations are available to the public for MBCTA sponsored meetings. All requests for reasonable accommodations must be made at least three (3) working days or 72 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting date.
