PUBLIC NOTICE CRYSTAL LAKE PARK DISTRICT NOTICE TO BIDDERS 1. TIME AND PLACE OF BID OPENINGS - Sealed pro-posals for Crystal Lake Eurasian Watermilfoil Application, McHenry County, Illinois, will be received at the Crystal Lake Park District Administrative Office, One East Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014, until 10 AM on May 19, 2026; and at that time will be publicly opened and read aloud. The contract will be awarded at a Board Meeting of the Park Board of Commissioners on June 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. 2. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK - The scope of work involves furnishing all of the required labor, materials equipment, implements, parts and supplies for, or appurtenant to, the application for treatment of the aquatic plant species Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum)within specific areas of known plant growth in Crystal Lake proper, in accordance with the specifications dated April 30, 2026 and any authorized change orders which have been signed by both parties. 3. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS - All proposals must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bank Draft for 10% (ten percent) of the total bid made payable to the Crystal Lake Park District. Each bid shall also include three (3) references of clients for which similar work was performed, listing the name, address and telephone number of the client, a description of the work, and the construction cost. 4. ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE ACT - All contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). 5. BID PACKET AVAILABLITY - Project man-uals, including bid form and specifications are available via email after 10:00 AM on May 5, 2026 from ejakubowski@crystallake parks.org. 6. REJECTION OF BIDS - The Crystal Lake Park District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.
