INVITATION TO BID
The City of Delavan, Illinois, will receive Sealed Bids for the City of Delavan ? 2026 Sewer Cleaning and Televising project, until 10:00 A.M. on the 24th day of April 2026, at City Hall, City Clerk's Office, 219 Locust Street, Delavan, IL 61734. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time at City Hall.
Bids are invited upon several items and quantities of work as follows: mobilization, traffic control, permitting, sewer cleaning, sewer televising.
Contract Documents are on file at the City Clerk's office at Delavan City Hall. Electronic copies (pdf format) of the contract documents may be obtained at no cost by contacting Keith Plavec at Maurer-Stutz, Inc. (309-693-7615).
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Delavan, Illinois, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. All CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties.
The City of Delavan, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the City of Delavan, Illinois, for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
