ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Village of Mt. Zion wili receive sealed bids for the 2026 Asphalt Treatment - Various Roadways project until 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at which time the bids wili be opened publicly. Bids should be directed to Village of Mt. Zion, 100 Mt. Zion Parkway, Mt. Zion, Illinois 62549. Bids received after stated time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened, Work will consist of asphalt treatment on various roadways in the Village of Mt. Zion. Until bids have been opened, plans and specifications shall be on file in the office of Village of Mt, Zion, IL, 100 Mt. Zion Parkway, subject to the inspection of all parties desiring to bid The Village reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids, reject any or all bids and to accept any bid deemed most advantageous. interested parties may obtain bidding documents either electronically by emailing mecmail@ martinengineeringco.com or requesting hard copies from Martin Engineering Company, 3695 S. 6th Street, Frontage Road West, Springfield, Illinois 62703, (217) 698-8900. Bidder shall make arrangements with MEC for documents to be picked up or delivered at the Bidder's expense. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "2026 AS- PHALT TREATMENT - VARIOUS ROADWAYS". An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 5% of the total bid price. This may be in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen, mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities and minor irregularities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
