INVITATION TO BID North Chicago School District 187 Student Transportation Services North Chicago Community Unit School District 187 (“District”) is seeking sealed bids for transportation services for the 2026-27 through 2028-29 school years. Bids will be received until 11:00 am CST on Friday, April 24, 2026, at which time all bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope properly marked with the “Original Sealed Bid for Transportation Services for North Chicago Community Unit School District 187” on outer envelope. Each bid must be wholly completed in the form prescribed in the bid documents and must be submitted in a sealed envelope. All bids shall be addressed and delivered to: North Chicago Community Unit School District 187 Gregory Volan, Director of Finance and Operations 2000 Lewis Avenue North Chicago, IL 60064 Bid documents are available at the District Office at the address shown above between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or on the District's website at www.d187.org, under the Bid Notices section of the Business Office department page. Questions should be submitted in writing by email to gvolan@d187.org by 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Answers to submitted questions will be posted no later than 12:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2026. The contract for transportation services will be awarded, if at all, at a meeting of the Independent Authority and the Financial Oversight Panel of North Chicago Community Unit School District 187, considering the ability to provide safety and comfort for the students, stability of service, quality of service, and then price.
