NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE RECEIVED by the Board of Education, Park Forest – Chicago Heights School District 163, Cook County, Illinois, (the ‘Owner'), at the District Administrative Center, 242 Orchard Drive, Park Forest, IL. up to the hour of 11:00 am on April 20, 2026, for the following work: BOILER REPLACEMENT BLACKHAWK PRIMARY CENTER FOR PARK FOREST – CHICAGO HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT 163 PARK FOREST, IL 60466 PROJECT NO. 25-163-04 Bids will be opened shortly thereafter, in the conference room of the District Administrative Center. A pre-bid meeting / site visit will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8th at Blackhawk Primary Center, 130 Blackhawk Drive, Park Forest, IL.. Work will be let under one prime HVAC contract, to the lowest responsible bidder. A set of plans and specifications may be obtained at the office of the Architect, PLANERA+REID ARCHITECTS 18225 Morris Avenue, Homewood, Illinois, 60430, (708) 747-3600. Contractors desiring to obtain plans are required to register with the Architect, complete a bidder information form, and provide an A.I.A. Document A-305 (Contractor Qualification Statement). The AIA A305 must be prepared for this specific project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified check payable to the order of the Owner, certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, execute the Contract and proceed with the work. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Bond will be required of the successful bidder, written by a Surety approved by the Owner. No bid will be considered unless the bidder shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the Owner that he has the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment and financial and physical resources available to fulfill the conditions of the Contract and execute the work, should the Contract be awarded to him. No less than the prevailing wage shall be paid for labor on the work to be done as required by law. The Board of Education, Park Forest – Chicago Heights School District 163 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities or technicalities in the bid, and award the bid in the manner that best serves the interests of the Owner. 4/6/2026 54805
