LEGAL NOTICE -Published 03/04, 03/11- Dewberry Architects Inc. Architects 401 SW Water Street Suite 701 Peoria, Illinois 61602 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Document 001116 Sealed bids will be received by the Illinois Prairie District Public Library hereinafter known as the Owner, for the renovation and addition of the Washburn Branch Library. The time for completion of this project is on or before February 1, 2027. Bids for "All Work " including General; Demolition; Architectural; Interiors; Structural; Plumbing; Mechanical; Electrical; Technology; Civil; will be received by the Owner at the Illinois Prairie District Public Library – Metamora location, 208 E. Partridge St., Metamora, IL before 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Bids will be opened publicly, read aloud, and recorded. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days from the date of receipt. A Voluntary "Pre-Bid" Conference will be conducted at the Illinois Prairie District Public Library – Washburn Branch located at 104 W Magnolia Street, Washburn, IL, 61570 on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST local time. Representatives of bidding Contractors are encouraged to attend to present any questions they have and tour the project area. Minutes of the Pre-Bid Conference will be disseminated to all those attending and to all plan holders. All requests for clarifications or interpretations outside of the Pre-Bid Conference shall be made in writing to the Architect (Dewberry Architects, Inc.) and will be answered by Addendum when appropriate. Illinois Prairie District Public Library will not release the Opinion of Probable Cost in advance of the scheduled time and date of the bid opening. Bid tabulations will be available after the award of a contract. Commencement of the Work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all Work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, bank draft, or a cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to Illinois Prairie District Public Library – Washburn Branch as a guarantee that the successful bidder will promptly execute a satisfactory contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance bond, payment bond and insurance, and will proceed with the Work. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount, as well as liability and property insurance as required by the Bid Documents and including Illinois Prairie District Public Library – Washburn Branch as additionally insured, before commencing Work. The successful bidder shall enter into a formal contract based on the conditions and requirements in the Bid Documents and the Bid Documents will be incorporated into the Contract. Bidding documents are anticipated to be available beginning on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 and consist of drawings, project manuals, plus all addenda issued prior to bids.
