NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Rochelle, Illinois until 10:00 a.m., Monday April 20th, 2026, for a new 3/4 ton all-wheel drive pickup truck. SPECIFICATIONS and other requirements may be obtained by contacting Rochelle Fire Chief David Sawlsville by email at dsawlsville@rochelleil.us or in person at the Rochelle Fire Department, 401 5th Ave. Rochelle, IL. THE CITY OF ROCHELLE PREFERS THE SEALED BID BE DELIVERED TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, ROCHELLE CITY HALL, 420 NORTH SIXTH STREET, ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS BEFORE 10:00 A.M., April 20th, 2026; HOWEVER, BIDS MAY ALSO BE MAILED. ANY BID RECEIVED AFTER 10:00 A.M., April 20th, 2026 WILL BE RETURNED, UNOPENED. ALL BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud at a bid opening at 10:00 a.m., Monday April 20th, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall in Rochelle, Illinois. ANY OBJECTIONS, QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS on the City's specifications shall be submitted by emailing Fire Chief David Sawlsville at dsawlsville@rochelleil.us on or before 10a.m. April 13th, 2026. If deemed necessary by the City, an addendum will be distributed to all prospective bidders by email transmission at least two (2) days prior to the bid opening date. The decisions of the City shall be final. A CONTRACT may be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is found to be in the best interest of the City of Rochelle. The City of Rochelle reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The City further reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and to make a contract award within forty-five (45) days after the bids have been opened and publicly read. April 1, 2026
