Legal Notice The Skokie Park District will receive bids for the Emerson Park Playground Removal and Installation beginning April 2nd at the Park Services Facility after 9:00 a.m. Bids are also available electronically by calling the Skokie Park District at 847 929-7800. The scope of work includes the removal and installation of new playground equipment at Emerson Park located at 9350 Lawler Avenue. Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked Emerson Park Playground Project and delivered to the Park Services at 7523 Long Avenue, Skokie, IL 60077. Bids will be received until exactly 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 16th at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public's best interest. This project is HUD funded and as such is subject to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), requiring that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors or subcontractors be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on similar projects in the locality, as determined by the Secretary of Labor All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Park District for ten prevent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
