NOTICE FOR BIDS INSTALLATION OF TILE LINE Written sealed bids for the installing of a District tile line in Section 11 of Yorktown Township, Henry County, Illinois, in the North East Quarter, which will be adjacent to an existing 18" District Tile line. The new line will be an 18" double walled plastic tile with a sock over it. One end of the new line will start at an existing well on the south side of Route 92. There is presently an 8" line connected into the old main line. This 8" line will need to be hooked into the new line with an appropriate Y connector. A second small lateral tile will also need to be connected to the new 18" main. To run parallel to the old line thus following the low ground will require approximately 3,200' of tile. The outlet which terminates at the Main Ditch (South of Route 92) will be 20' of thick walled PVC pipe with either a trap or flap gate. Average depth to bottom of trench is 3-4', except at outlet end thru the ditch bank where it is 10-12'. Prior to any construction work the contractor will determine the slope percentage in the existing line and discuss with the commissioners if any increase in the slope can be achieved. The contractor will use equipment that can maintain the correct grade in minimum slope situations. The contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All work to be completed by 12/31/26. All materials, equipment, supplies and Labor to be provided by the Contractor. Terms of payment: upon completion.
