CLAIM NOTICE
Notice is given of the death of CAROL J. GESCHWEND, of O'Fallon, Illinois. Independent Letters of Office were issued on March 19, 2026 to Richard E. Geschwend of Belleville, IL 62221, whose attorney is Joseph P. O'Keefe, Dill, Bamvakais & O'Keefe, P.C., One South Church Street, Suite 500, PO Box 313, Belleville, Illinois 62220.
Claims against the estate may be filed in the office of the Clerk of the Court at the St. Clair County Courthouse, 10 Public Square, Belleville, Illinois 62220 or with representative, or both, by September 24, 2026, which is six (6) months from the first date of publication of this Notice or, as to a creditor of Decedent whose name and post office address are known to or are reasonably ascertainable by the representative, the later of September 24,2026, or three (3) months after the date of mailing or delivery of this Notice to such known claimant, and any claim not filed on or before said date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within ten (10) days after it has been filed.
The estate will be administered without court supervision, unless under 755 ILCS §5/28-4 of the Probate Act any interested person terminates independent administration at any time by mailing or delivering a petition to terminate to the clerk.
This notice is published pursuant to 755 ILCS §5/18-3.
