CASE NO. 2026-PR-8 NOTICE BY PUBLICATION OF CLAIM DATE Notice is given to creditors of the death of Carol J. Stephenson, of 404 S. Clinton St., Clinton, Illinois 61727. Letters of Office were issued on February 19, 2026, to Steven L. Groves, Independent Executor, 623 W. South St., Clinton, Illinois, whose attorney is Kevin Hammer, 219 E. Main Street, Clinton, Illinois 61727. The estate will be administered without court supervision unless under Section 28-4 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/28-4) any interested person terminates independent administration at any time by mailing or delivering a petition to terminate to the clerk. Claims against the Estate must be fi led in the offi ce of the Clerk of DeWitt County Circuit Court, DeWitt County Courthouse, 201 W. Washington, Clinton, Illinois 61727, or with the representative, or both, on or before September 6, 2026, or, if mailing or delivery of a Notice from the representative is required by Section 18-3 of the Probate Act, the date stated in the Notice. Any claim not fi led on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim fi led with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered by the claimant to the representative and to the representative's attorney within ten days after it has been fi led.
