RIORDAN, ) Deceased ) No. 2026-PR-63 In Probate NOTICE TO HEIRS WHOSE NAMES OR ADDRESSES ARE UNKNOWN AND CLAIM NOTICE Notice is given of the death of SHIRLEE A. RIORDAN, of the City of Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois. Letters of Office as Independent Administrator were issued on April 2, 2026 to Lorraine Kay Hughes, whose address is 927 Wezel Rd Unit 3B Peru, IL and whose attorney is Joseph H. Cantlin of The Cantlin Law Firm, 760 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL 61350. NOTICE IS GIVEN to any heirs or legatees of SHIRLEE A. RIOR- DAN who names, or addresses are not stated in the Petition for Probate of Will and for Letters Testamentary, that an Order was entered by the Circuit Court of LaSalle County, Illinois on April 1, 2026 appointing LORRAINE KAY HUGHES as Independent Executor of the Estate of SHIRLEE A. RIORDAN Deceased. Within 42 days after the effective date of the original Order Admitting Will to Probate and Appointing Legal Representative, any Heir or Legatee may file a Petition with the Court to require proof of the Will by testimony of the witnesses evidence, as provided in Section 6-21 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/8-1) You also have rights under Section 8-1 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the Will by filing a Petition with the Court within 6 months after admission of the Will to Probate. You also have the rights in Independent Administration under Section 28-4 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/28-4) including the right to terminate Independent Administration at any time by mailing or delivering a Petition to Terminate Independent Administration to the Clerk of the Court. The Estate will be administered without Court supervision unless an interested person asks the Court to become involved. This Notice to Heirs and Legatees is being published within 14 days after the filing of the Petition for Probate of Will. Claims against the estate may be filed with the office of the Circuit Clerk, Probate Division, LaSalle County Courthouse, Ottawa, Illinois 61350, or with the representative or both, on or before the 10th day of October, 2026. Any claim not filed within the time allowed is barred. If the claim is filed with the Circuit Clerk of the Court then E-filing is now mandatory for filing an estate claim with the Circuit Clerk.
