Public hearing on new sewer construction in Crainville scheduled for March 16, 2026.

NOTICE of PUBLIC HEARING (PEID) Notice is hereby given to all residents and property owners of the Village of Crainville, Illinois and all users of the sewer collection system that a Public Hearing will be held at the Village Hall in Crainville, IL on March 16, 2026, at 10:00 am. The Village of Crainville, IL plans to build a new headworks building and install a new lift station near our existing lagoon and then convey our sewage through a force main to the new Carterville regional wastewater treatment plant for process. This Public Notice is to provide an opportunity for the public to provide comments on the Village of Crainville's proposed construction. A project summary and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination document provided by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) is available for review at Village Hall, 1205 Main Street, Carterville, Illinois 62918. The document contains information including the project costs, location, user rate impacts and potential environmental impacts. This Notice is to provide access to the documents and to satisfy Section 365.330 of the Illinois Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Water Pollution Control Loan Program from the Illinois EPA. These documents will be on file at the Crainville City Hall after the Public Hearing to allow for public comment.
