Notice of Public Hearing The Northern Moraine Wastewater Reclamation District has submitted a loan application to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency seeking funds to construct improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Facility and collection system. Section 365.530 of the Illinois Procedures for Issuing Loans form the Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Program requires that the IEPA conduct an assessment of the en-vironmental impacts of the proposed wastewater projects to be funded with loans. This review was carried out in conjunction with the State's review of the District's Project Plan. Prior to final approval of the plan, the public's comments are sought regarding environ-mental impacts of the proposed project. The IEPA has reviewed the Project Plan and has determined the project to be technically sound and cost-effective. Unless new information gained from the public causes reconsid-eration, the Agency will approve the Project Plan at the close of the public comment period. The Northern Moraine Wastewater Reclamation District is making available for public inspection and comments a Project Summary and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination (PEID). That document is available for public inspection at the District's Office, 113 Timber Trail, Island Lake, Illinois 60042 at any time during regular business hours. A public hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments on the Project Summary and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination on March 20, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. The public hearing will be held at the District's Office, 113 Timber Trail, Island Lake, Illinois 60042. Written comments on the Project Summary and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination may be submitted at any time up to and including March 30, 2026.
