PUBLIC NOTICE VILLAGE OF ISLAND LAKE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Island Lake will hold a public hearing on May 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 3720 Greenleaf Avenue, Island Lake, Illinois 60042. The first public hearing is requested by Khurram Ghani for special use approval to construct a new building on a vacant lot located at 311 East State Road, also known as 27999 Beech Street, Island Lake, Illinois (PINs 09-21-300-033 and 09-28-100-019). The proposed development includes retail uses consisting of a coffee shop and ice cream shop with a drive- through, together with residential apartment use on the second floor of the proposed building.
