DRAINAGE NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on the 14th day of January, 2026, a Petition for Leave to Levy Additional Assessment was filed in the Circuit Court of the FIFTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, Edgar County, Illinois, by the Commissioners of DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE TOWNS OF EMBARRASS AND KANSAS, COUNTY OF EDGAR, STATE OF ILLINOIS – NO. 37; that the total amount of the additional assessment contained in the assessment roll is $216,397.00, or $100.00 per acre; and that upon the filing of such assessment roll, the same was presented to the Court and the Court has scheduled a hearing before the Circuit Court in the Courthouse at Edgar County, Paris, Illinois, on Thursday the 7th day of May, 2026 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard upon all questions of benefits, damages and compensation if they see fit to do so.
