NOTICE OF ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Notice is hereby given to the Legal Residents of the Town of the City of Peoria in the County of Peoria and State of Illinois, that the ANNUAL TOWN MEETING of said Town will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, which includes any business to come before the electors.
The Town Meeting for the transactions of miscellaneous business of said Town, pursuant to the following Agenda, will be held at the hour of 6:00 P.M. on said day at City Council Chambers, Room 400, City Hall, 419 Fulton, Peoria, Illinois; and a Moderator, having been elected, will proceed to hear and consider reports of officers and decide on such measures as may, in pursuance of law, come before the meeting.

ITEM NO. 5  THIS PETITION REQUESTS THAT A SPECIAL TOWNSHIP MEETING BE CALLED PURSUANT TO 60 ILCS 1/305-5 "SPECIAL TOWNSHIP MEETING FOR THE DISCUSSION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A STUDY FOR THE TOWNSHIP FOR THE PURPOSE OF USING TOWNSHIP FUNDS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO SENIOR CITIZEN UNDER ARTICLE 60 ILCS 1/35-55"
ITEM NO. 6  SHALL THE FOLLOWING ADVISORY QUESTION OF PUBLIC POLICY BE PLACED ON THE BALLOT FOR SUBMISSION TO THE VOTES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PEORIA, IN PEORIA COUNTY, IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2026, ELECTION:  "SHALL THE ILLINOIS CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS WHO REPRESENT PEORIA TOWNSHIP VOTE TO SUPPORT THE ILLINOIS HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCACY PROTECTION ACT (HB 2723/SB 2462), WHICH WOULD REPEAL AMENDMENTS TO THE ILLINOIS PENSION CODE THAT PENALIZE AMERICAN BUSINESSES THAT CHOOSE TO BOYCOTT ISRAEL?"
