NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING MANTIOU CREEK-FISH LAKE DRAIN WATERSHED-BASED PLAN A public hearing on the draft Manitou Creek-Fish Lake Drain Watershed-Based Plan will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the Lake County Government Center, 18 N. County Street, 10th floor Assembly Room, Waukegan, Illinois. The watershed-based plan addresses stormwater management including water quality in lakes and streams, flooding problems, the conservation of natural resources, stakeholder engagement, and will help to provide access to future grant opportunities. The watershed planning area includes portions of western and central Lake County, including portions of 14 municipalities and 5 townships. Links to the draft watershed-based plan chapters, appendices, and web mapping application are located at: https://www.lakecountyil.gov/2401/Fox-River-Watershed. Questions regarding the public hearing can be emailed to stormwater@lakecountyil.gov.
