Wilton Community School DistrictApril 29, 2026On April 29, 2026, at 5:01 P.M., the Wilton Community School Board of Directors met in the Jr/Sr Media Center for the purpose of a special meeting. Vice President Tara Oien called the meeting to order. The board members present were Tom Fitzer, Tara Oien, Alex White and Sam Wilson. Absent: Tim Barrett. Also present were Superintendent Joe Burnett and School Business Official/Board Treasurer Gabrielle Speth. Motion by Fitzer, seconded by White to approve the FY27 district budget. All yes. Motion carried.Motion by Fitzer, seconded by Wilson to approve change order #35 – hangar door - $101,348.19 with the following stipulations: the district needs to authorize this change order work to proceed on a time and material basis; once the work is finalized, the exact costs will be tallied and a final change order will be issued; following this reconciliation, MGA will submit the costs to the insurance company which has already authorized a preliminary limit; the costs will then be disbursed less approximately $8,000 – the $8,000 represents the estimated “value added” amount the District would have originally paid had the larger door been included in the initial bid-day scope.
