Davis County Board of Supervisors April 27, 2026 Bloomfield, Iowa Courthouse Boardroom 8:30 A.M. The Davis County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, April 27, 2026 with Chairman Ron Bride and Members David Henderson and Alan Yahnke present. Alan Yahnke made motion, seconded by David Henderson and carried unanimously, to approve the agenda. The Board met with Engineer Ryan Schock, who reported on rock hauling and brush cutting activities of the County crews. He further reported that: Richard Harris Bridge deck was poured last week; Binns & Stevens are planning to apply dust control on May 27; Summer help and Common laborer positions were posted this past week; and, Secondary Roads employees voted no on the proposed Memorandum of Understanding drafted by the Countys Union Negotiations Attorney regarding Secondary Roads Department employees working 4, ten-hour days from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Board discussed repair work needs at the County Farm. Work will commence next fall to replace the Countys portion of fence that borders Kent Berryman on the west, the secondary roads department will complete the crossing repairs and the Board will collect bids for installation of a Cobett waterer at the northwest corner of the property. Alan Yahnke made motion, seconded by David Henderson and carried unanimously, to set hearing on an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget for May 18th at 10:00 a.m. Board Chairman Ron Bride directed Auditor Kristi Goodson to publish the Fiscal Year 2026 Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Current Budget.
