NEWELL-FONDA COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS ~ PROPOSED BUDGET HEARING #1 Thursday, March 23, 2026 6:00 PM Newell-Fonda Commons 1. Call to Order and Roll Call – Vice President Hogrefe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with Directors Hogrefe, Morenz, Walker, and Johnson; Administrator Jungers; Board Secretary Vanderhoff present. 2. Approval of Agenda – Morenz moved, seconded by Johnson to approve the agenda as presented, motion carried 4-0. 3. Opening Statement – Hogrefe read the opening statement for the public hearing on the proposed property tax levy which included why the public hearing was held as well as the rules of order for public comment. After the opening statement was read, Walker moved, seconded by Morenz to open the public hearing at 6:01 p.m. a. Receive Written Statement – no written comments were received b. Receive Oral Statement – there was one citizen present for public comment After receiving no written statements, and hearing all oral statements, Morenz moved, seconded by Walker to close the public hearing at 6:20 p.m., motion carried 4-0. 4. Adjournment – Walker moved, seconded by Morenz to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 p.m., motion carried 4-0. John Sievers, President Andrea Vanderhoff, Secretary
