Project Based Vouchers for Elderly Persons Request for Proposals Augusta Housing Authority is requesting proposals for Project Based Vouchers which provide housing subsidy to units for occupancy by very low income, disabled near-elderly (55 and older) OR elderly (62 and older) households. Subsidy may be attached to existing units or may be reserved for up to twelve (12) units to be newly constructed or rehabilitated in the greater Augusta area. Applications will be scored based on the following criteria: 1) Number of total new elderly units created/rehabilitated as affordable housing serving persons at or below 60% Area Median Income (AMI); 2) Special population priority (disabled near-elderly [55 and older] OR elderly [62 and older]) with supportive services; 3) Organizational capacity/ owner experience; 4) Site and neighborhood quality; 5) Project readiness; 6) Deconcentration of poverty/ expanding housing opportunities; and 7) Need for temporary relocation.
