PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Town of Mars Hill May 19, 2026 The Mars Hill Town Council will conduct a Public Hearing at 6 p.m. on May 19 at the Mars Hill Fire Department located at 12 Market Street. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to provide information to and solicit input from residents regarding the proposed purchase of a new tanker for the fire department in preparation for a Referendum Election to be held on June 9, 2026. ARTICLE 1: To see if the voters of the Town of Mars Hill will authorize the borrowing in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, to be used with a $523,809.52 grant awarded to the Town/Fire Department for the purpose of purchasing and equipping a new Tanker for the fire department.
