NOTICE OF INTENT NOTICE OF INTENT TO PAY EXCESS SALE PROCEEDS Pursuant to 36 M.R.S. § 943-C The Town of Fort Fairfield hereby gives notice of its intent to distribute excess sale proceeds resulting from the sale of tax-acquired property. Despite reasonable diligence, the municipality has been unable to locate the former owner(s) of the property described below. Former Owner Name(s): The Heirs of David Raymond. Property Description: Map/Lot 27-052, 128 Fort Hill St. Amount of Excess Sale Proceeds: $3,499.29. Claim Deadline: June 22, 2026 TO CLAIM THESE PROCEEDS: The former owner or their legal representative must contact the Town of Fort Fairfield Tax Collector at (207) 472-3800 or 18 Community Center Dr., Fort Fairfield on or before the Claim Deadline listed above. NOTICE REGARDING UNCLAIMED FUNDS: If the former owner fails to claim the excess sale proceeds within 30 days of the final publication of this notice, the municipality is required by law to transfer the funds to the Unclaimed Property Fund under the custody of the Maine State Treasurer.
