CLARK PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the CLARK Public Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids on Tuesday May 5th, 2026, at 11:00 am, prevailing time, at the board offices located at 365 Westfield Avenue Clark, NJ 07066, for the following ASBESTOS ABATEMENT project: 1) 2026 CLARK SCHOOL DISTRICT ASBESTOS ONLY ROOF ABATEMENTS Specifications will be available for purchase at the pre-bid meeting to be held at the Arthur L. Johnson High School, located at 365 Westfield Avenue Clark, NJ 07066 on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @ 10:00 am. A $150 non-refundable fee (in the form of a check or money order, made payable to Karl & Associates) for each bid package is required. Pre-bid meeting will be held for the purpose of reviewing the work and considering questions by the Bidders. All requests for clarification and/or interpretation by Bidders must be submitted in writing to Karl & Associates by 1:00 PM on Thursday April 30, 2026. Further information may be obtained by calling Mr. Edmund Karl with Karl and Associates, Inc. at (610) 856-7700. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a separate sealed envelope and delivered no later than 10:00 am Tuesday May 5th, 2026, and addressed to: Mr. R. Paul Vizzuso, Business Administrator, Clark Public School Board of Education, 365 Westfield Avenue, Clark, NJ 07066, with the name of the project, plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond from a bonding company with an A- rating or better, drawn to the order of Clark Board of Education in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bids will be opened and read to the public at that time by the School Business Administrator at the board offices. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening of the bids. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. All bids must be accompanied by a certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. All Bidders must possess a current New Jersey Contractor Asbestos Abatement License All roofers on this portion of the removal must possess a current NJ Dept. of Labor asbestos License. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements New Jersey Laws Against Discrimination and Affirmative Action laws. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. The CLARK Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements, and who can demonstrate to the district the ability to perform all work as specified within the projects scheduled dates.
