Public Notice of Adoption of Bond Ordinance 26-06
 
The bond ordinance published herewith has been finally adopted by the Borough of Matawan, in the County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey on February 17, 2026 and the 20 day period of limitation within which a suit, action or proceeding questioning the validity of such ordinance can be commenced, as provided in the Local Bond Law, has begun to run from the date of the first publication of this statement. Copies of the full bond ordinance are available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Clerk's Office for members of the general public who request the same. The summary of the terms of such bond ordinance follows:
 
Title: Bond Ordinance 26-06: Bond Ordinance Providing for Various General Capital Improvements by the Borough of Matawan, Appropriating $2,900,000 Therefor, Including a Grant in the Amount of $202,867 Expected to be Received from the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, and Authorizing the Issuance of $2,761,500 Bonds or Notes of the Borough to Finance Part of the Cost Thereof
 
Purpose: Roadway improvements for various streets throughout the Borough, including, but not limited to, improvements for Tina Place, Sarah Court and other miscellaneous Borough Roads and slope stabilization and lake and ravine improvements for Onyx Place and Franklin Street
 
Appropriation: $2,900,000
Bonds/Notes Authorized: $2,761,500
Grants Appropriated: $202,867
Section 20 Expenses: $500,000
Useful Life: 20 years
