ADVERTISEMENT Middlesex Board of Education 300 John F. Kennedy Drive Middlesex, New Jersey 08846 Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Middlesex Board of Education (“Board”), Middlesex County, New Jersey for the Small Group Instruction Interior Renovations at Watchung School project (“Project”) Commencing February 17, 2026, bidding documents may be obtained by submitting a request to Ms. Caitlyn Adames, AIA, at cadames@planetpsa.com. Bidding documents will not be mailed, emailed or available for pickup or inspection. They may only be downloaded from the FTP website with access granted upon request. Bidders must email their request at least one (1) business day in advance to gain access to bid documents. Project information is also available on the Architect's website http://www.planetpsa.com/bids. Bids will be received by the Business Administrator/Board Secretary, Annette Giordano, at the Board Offices, 300 John F. Kennedy Drive, Middlesex, New Jersey 08846 (enter Door 7), up to 1:00 PM on March 11, 2026, and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter. A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:30 PM on February 19, 2026, at Watchung Elementary School, Fischer Avenue, Middlesex, New Jersey 08846. Meet at the main office. Attendance is strongly encouraged. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (“DPMC”) as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the following disciples: C008 – General Construction; or C009 – General Construction/Alterations & Additions Further, if the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC in the following disciplines, the Bidder shall be required to retain a subcontractor that is DPMC classified in those disciplines that the Bidder is not classified; which subcontractors shall be named in the bid and all required documents for those subcontractors shall be provided within the time required by the bid documents and/or by law: C029 – Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron; C030 – Plumbing; C032 – HVACR; and C047 – Electrical Bids shall be submitted on the provide proposal forms and be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check of bid bond draw to the order of the “Middlesex Board of Education” for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall include a Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance and Payment Bond for public works projects in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor.
