MONTVALE BOARD OF EDUCATION - REQUEST FOR BID The Montvale Board of Education invites your written sealed bid on the following: TITLE BID DATE Memorial Elementary School March 11, 2026 at 11:00 am STEAM lab & Classroom Renovations Project Notice is hereby given that the Montvale Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids at the board offices located at 47 Spring Valley Road, Montvale, NJ 07645, for the Memorial Elementary School STEAM Lab & Classroom Renovations Project. A pre-bid Meeting will be held at the lobby of Memorial Elementary School, 53 Grand Avenue, Montvale, NJ 07645 on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 4:00 pm. The project consists of the renovation of an existing classroom to a STEAM lab, providing interior upgrades to 6 additional classrooms, providing interior upgrades to associated corridors, as well as any associated work regarding these areas as specified in the drawings. All necessary bid specifications and bid forms may be secured upon filling out the bid request form located at https://fkarch.com/current-bids/. Bid Packages will be available on February 16, 2026. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Andrea Wasserman, Business Administrator at Montvale Board of Education, 47 Spring Valley Road, Montvale, NJ 07645, with the name of the project, “Memorial Elementary School STEAM lab &Classroom Renovations Project” plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., “The Law Against Discrimination” and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Bids must be submitted to the Montvale Board of Education no later than 11 o'clock on March 11, 2026. All bids will be opened and read to the public at that time by the School Business Administrator at the board offices. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days from the opening of the bids. The Montvale Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Montvale Board of Education.
