BERGEN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION ORDINANCE 26-03 The ordinance published herewith was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the governing body of the County of Bergen, a body politic and corporate of the State of New Jersey (the “County”), held on February 17, 2026 It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the governing body to be held at One Bergen County Plaza, Public Meeting Room, Fifth Floor, Hackensack NJ 07601, on March 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM, and during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinance will be made available at the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners' office to the members of the general public who shall request the same. BERGEN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS “An Ordinance Prohibiting westbound traffic from making a U-Turn to travel eastbound on Hillsdale Avenue at the intersection of Hunter's Court in the Borough of Hillsdale”. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Bergen as follows: SECTION I. As requested by the Borough of Hillsdale and upon concurrence by the County Engineer, the following changes be implemented on Hillsdale Avenue, a County road therein: 1. There shall be No U-Turns westbound along Hillsdale Avenue at the intersection of Hunter's Court. SECTION II. That appropriate signage will be placed and maintained in conformity with the current “Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways”. SECTION III. On or about 7:00 PM on March 4, 2026, at the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners Public Meeting Room, Fifth Floor, One Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack, NJ, 07601, is fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the ordinance SECTION IV. That all prior ordinances or resolutions or portions thereof of the Bergen County Board of County Commissioners inconsistent herewith be and they are hereby repealed. SECTION V. That this ordinance shall become effective upon adoption and publication as required by law. SECTION VI. That if any clause, section or provision of this ordinance is declared invalid by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such position shall be deemed a separate distinct and independent provision and shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion thereof.
