PUBLIC NOTICETOWNSHIP OF CRANFORDCRANFORD, NEW JERSEYORDINANCE NO. 2026-11AN ORDINANCE SUPPLE-MENTING THE CODE OF THETOWNSHIP OF CRANFORD,CHAPTER 15, TO AUTHO-RIZE CERTAIN DEBIT/CREDIT CARD AND ACHPAYMENTSWHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40:48-1(1) pro-vides that the governing body of everymunicipality may make, amend, repealand enforce ordinances to manage, regu-late and control the finances and property,real and personal, of the municipality; andWHEREAS, certain Township depart-ments presently accept payments throughelectronic funds, credit cards and similarmethods online or without issue; andWHEREAS, the acceptance of paymentthrough electronic funds transfers, creditcards and similar methods is permittedpursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:30-9.1 et seq.; andWHEREAS, the Township is permittedto charge a surcharge or convenience feeequal to a percentage
